Introducing “Trio”: The New Medical Carts Specially Designed for Nursing

Hand in hand with Capsa Healthcare, we introduce the new medical carts “Trio,” designed to assist nursing staff in managing a wide range of tasks more efficiently.

The rapid improvements in safety, mobility, and functionality provide healthcare professionals with more power to enhance their level of patient care, as well as their own well-being.

Medical carts for nursing with improved maneuverability:

Unlike a fixed workstation, mobile workstations truly provide the maximum opportunity to enhance patient care. The ease of transport of these medical carts improves bedside care. Trio also helps alleviate the physical stress faced by many nurses during long shifts.

Enhanced communication:

Trio enhances communication on various levels. First, there’s telehealth connectivity. Trio is equipped with intuitive features and cloud-based software. Each workstation can be the vital link to connect caregivers and family members with patients through video conferencing. This is a significant benefit as visitation restrictions continue during the pandemic. “There have been many cases where a patient was in isolation and not allowed visitors,” says Torbett. “That’s where Trio’s telehealth integrations can have a big impact in connecting patients with their caregivers and loved ones.” The practice of virtual doctor rounds continues to be rapidly adopted as more physicians communicate remotely with patients. Second is communication between nursing and IT support. Trio has built-in tools that allow nurses to connect with their support desk and receive alerts, notifications, or submit service requests in real-time.

Power to optimize and track workflows:

The new medical carts feature patented integrated technology to connect with Capsa’s N-Sight Fleet Management. The Trio workstation fleet can be remotely configured, managed, and tracked. The system includes analytics and tools to improve asset utilization, keeping carts operational and deployed where needed most, extending runtimes, and monitoring usage and load behavior. Nurses can save their personal preferences, such as height presets, which are automatically transferred to all other carts in the fleet. From the simple touchscreen, the nurse controls the medical cart, views battery levels, adjusts light settings to work in dark rooms without disturbing the patient, and watches training videos.

Designed for nurses:

The hospital carts have a slim design, making storage efficient and minimizing push and pull force for users. It combines an adjustable height workspace, monitor, and keyboard with the ability to ergonomically tilt and position both the monitor and keyboard for the comfort of all users. Trio customization can include electronically or double-locked drawers and containers for added security.

Customization and medical technology:

The same cart platform can be customized in many different ways to meet the needs of different units throughout the facility and healthcare system.
